Please note that check in at guest houses and hotels is usually after 14h00. MEET THE EXPERT SESSIONS: Thursday 18 February

Venue: Old Main Building, Groote Schuur Hospital

Registration for the Meet the Expert sessions will take place in the Bill Hoffenberg room on the J floor of Old Main Building GSH from 09:30-10:30 for the morning sessions and 12:30-13:30 for the afternoon session.

All the workshops venues are in Old Main Building.

Teas and lunch will be served in the Bill Hoffenberg room.

 

Parking for these sessions will be arranged in P3 at Groote Schuur Hospital. Parking will be for your own account at R 5 per day. On departure, please give the parking attendant your parking ticket with the exact amount.

 

Bus transport on Thursday 18 February will be arranged as follows:

·       From the Cape Town International Convention Centre to the Groote Schuur Hospital at 09:30 am. The bus will depart from Coen Steytler Street.

·       From the Groote Schuur Hospital to the Cape Town International Convention Centre at 17:30.

90TH ANNIVERSARY / CONFERENCE DINNER                                 

Thursday 18 February, 19:00

Venue: Jameson Hall, University of Cape Town

 

If you would like to attend the Conference dinner, please make sure that you booked and paid for the dinner. The fee per person is R 250.

Limited drinks will be provided, thereafter a cash bar applies.

 

Bus transport on Thursday 18 February will be arranged as follows:

·       From the Cape Town International Convention Centre to Jameson Hall at 18:30

·       From the Jameson Hall to the Cape Town International Convention Centre at 22:00

Parking for the Dinner has been arranged on either side of University Avenue, or on Library road. There will be traffic officers on campus directing you to the parking areas.

 

CONFERENCE REGISTRATION

Ground floor, Auditorium 2 foyer, Cape Town International Convention Centre

 

The registration desk will open at 07:00 on Friday 19 February, and will remain open for the duration of the Conference.

 

Registration bags, badges, final programme etc will be available for collection at the registration desk. Lost & found items - please contact registration desk staff.

 

DIRECTIONS & PARKING

CTICC, Convention Square, 1 Lower Long Street, Cape Town, 8001

Parking at the Convention Centre car park is available at no cost at P1 (next to the canal) and P3. Please come to the registration desk outside Auditorium 2 to receive your free multi-access parking ticket. This ticket is valid for the duration of the conference. Please note that if this card is lost, delegates will need to pay for their own parking.

 

REFRESHMENTS
Arrival, mid morning & mid afternoon tea/coffee and lunches with soft drinks will be provided each day. Teas & lunches will be served in the exhibition area outside Auditorium 2.

 

CPD Points: Discovery Health will be handling CPD accreditation.

 

AUDIO VISUAL PRESENTATIONS
1. Presentations (on memory stick/flash drive or CD) should be handed to the On Screen Audio Visual staff in the room in which you are presenting.   The original presentation will be returned immediately.

2. The file name of your presentation should reflect your surname, time of presenting  eg: 10h30 Tues Jaffer.ppt

3. Presentations should be in MicroSoft Power Point (Windows Media Player will also be available). Please inform the onsite technician if any other Software was used to check compatibility eg: Apple Mac files.

4.  Please inform the technician in the venue if your presentation has sound or video clips.

5. After loading the presentations on to the On Screen laptop the Presenters must check each slide for changes or missing data/slides.
