We are pleased to announce that "Immunology of Health and Disease" will be hosted in Cape Town from the 9-14 March 2008. The conference will focus on recent ongoing research with unpublished oral presentations (15 to 20 min.) and discussions. General immunological mechanism with focus on T cell subsets, macrophages activation, cytokine regulation (of course including IL-4 and IL-13) as well as newest biotechnological approaches will be discussed. Major workshops include ŒNeglected Diseases¹ with contributions on leishmaniasis, helminthic infections among them schistosomiasis, African trypanosomiasis as well as other pathogens as well as ŒEmerging strategies on drug therapy and vaccination¹ with contributions on recombinant vectors and autovaccination. Non-infectious diseases include cancer, obesity,allergy among others.

Directions

From Cape Town take the M3 towards Muizenberg, turn right at the t-junction at the end of the highway (+/- 20km). Turn left into Ou Kaapse Weg (M64), once you are over the mountain, take the first road right into Silvermine Road. Pass Silvermine Retirement Village on the left, at the t-junction turn right into Chapmans Peak Drive (M6). Take the first right into Beach Road, at the fork in the road, turn right into Mountain Road. Follow the brick road and it will take you straight into the parking area.
