NURSES PAY HALF PRICE

It is our pleasure to invite you to the 23rd South African Transplant Congress, scheduled for 24-27 September 2009. This will be an opportunity for scientists and clinicians from all over South Africa to share their knowledge and experience. The meeting will include lectures by international speakers, oral communications, poster presentations and a workshop on organ procurement as well as practical nursing management for transplant patients.

The meeting will be held at the Spier Conference Centre, situated in the heart of the Cape Winelands. Not only does Spier offer excellent congress facilities and accommodation, but it also has a wine centre, a spa, swimming pools, craft excibitions, wildlife encounters, horse riding and a nearby golf course.

Venue: Spier Estate

Stellenbosch Wineland’s most famous destination offering award-winning wines and world class hotel and conferencing

One of the most famous sites in the Cape Winelands, the Spier estate near Stellenbosch proudly offers award-winning wines in the beautiful setting of an historic 1000-hectare wine estate. Our world class four- star
Spier Hotel and conference venues, some of which are housed in meticulously restored Cape Dutch buildings, are complemented by one of South Africa’s most comprehensive contemporary art collections. The luxurious hotel overlooks the Helderberg Mountain range and lies besides the calming waters of the Eerste River

All of this is underscored by a serious commitment to sustainable business practices and investment in South African arts and culture. Spier is regarded as one of the world’s top responsible tourism destinations, and hosts two important wildlife awareness projects on the estate. It has donated the use of land, water and electricity to the Cheetah Outreach Project and to Eagle Encounters, a raptor rehabilitation programme.

The Spier Hotel was the first luxury hotel in South Africa to win Fair Trade in Tourism (South Africa) certification and Spier Wines are certified by the Wine Industry Ethical Trade Association.

A renowned conference venue, with a variety of options available – including a series of eco-friendly bomas for green conferencing – Spier is a premier destination for business tourists looking for superb facilities, good food and wine on an estate that offers rejuvenating rest and relaxation and inspiring South African art.
